Can anyone tell me what is the story with the Pub?  They had that lovely building built in the carpark.  I was looking forward to having a nice village pub with a good resturant at the end of the road.  I also think it would make a big difference to village life.  I'd love to know.

I believe the future for the pub is still undecided due to the narrow strip of land being in contention between the pub and land owner. The kitchen which is built on the end of the new thatch building on this land will have to be taken down if an agreement cannot be reached?  Huh

You have to wonder how it passed planning if it breached a boundry.  It can't be the whole kitchen section, that would be a massive error on somebodies part?

..when you walk up Nags Head Lane next time you will see a post with a yellow cap which is the current boundary, its around 2-3m at the front and around 5-6m at the back going through the middle of the kitchen.

I notice there seems to have been a fair amount of activity over the last week or so.  Could this be good news on the Village Pub front.

What have you heard, has there been some resolution to the issues?

 :)

the land issues are still unresolved from recent discussions? the tiled roof is currently being re built and re tiled and thats about all I currently know. I think that the possibilities of the village having a pub are becoming less likely and in this current climate who in there right mind would want to throw the cash needed to open a new business? to be honest its a mess and living next door is starting to wear thin as there appears to be no end in site? Huh

So what's a foot?  Lots of activity again, are we going to have a pub someday soon?  Looks like living next door to a building site maybe coming to an end.  What have you heard? Smiley

Rumour has it that the pub is not going to re-open at all. Thus allegiance seems to go to The White Horse at Tilbrook.
